“America’s oldest and most complete mounted archery center”
Cascade International Mounted Archery Center (CIMAC) is one of the few training centers in the USA for horseback archery. Founded in 2004, it is the first complete facility to exist in the States. CIMAC offers very extensive training in Korean style events, including Mogu, Qabaq, Class A and B five-shot and three-shot serial runs, two-shot, single shot, and Masahee. In addition, we offer complete classic Hungarian event training, and use a serpentine course, cross-country course, and aerial and rolling targets to supplement our training. We are inventive in our training exercises, courses, and games to expand our skills for competition and for fun.
Our instructors and students train and compete worldwide, and also provide exciting costumed demonstrations at horse events. With over ten years experience in teaching horseback archery, and over ten years affiliation with the World Horse Archery Federation (WHAF) and the Mounted Archery Association of the Americas (MA3), CIMAC has trained multiple international event champions from the USA, including Di Troyk, Jet Cowan, Holm Neumann, and Katie Stearns. CIMAC also has an eight-year long horseback archery affiliation with Desempenho Riding School in Brazil.
Our instructors teach weekly lessons and also hold private and public clinics for for all levels. We train people to do horseback archery, ground archery, and as it applies to horseback archery, advanced horseback riding. We also train horses to accept an archer or train the horse’s person to train their own horse to this sport. Our world-class trained mounted archery horses include several finely-gaited Brazilian Mangalarga Marchadors, Missouri Foxtrotters, and Rocky Mountain horses.
