You may have had this happen: you are busily shooting arrows from your galloping horse’s back, when suddenly your horse stumbles or shakes his head, spooks or whatever, and your reins that were laying so nicely on his neck go over his head to tangle with his hooves. There are few more helpless feelings, which is why this safety rein attachment is a must.
Holm Neumann developed this simple device to permit rapid recognition and access to the reins for emergency control, and to keep the reins from sailing over the horse’s head.
Adjustment of the rein length is required to combine with the handle. Simple, quick removal from the saddle allows for more precise use of the reins. Application, proper fitting and removal are illustrated below.
